This custom built GCG5452R comes designed to bolt into the stock turbocharger location on the Mercedes Benz A45 CLA45 GLA45 AMG models. The turbocharger retains the factory twin scroll turbine housing, and also retains the factory compressor housing, to allow this turbocharger to bolt directly back onto the vehicle without any further fitment modifications. Replacement oil and water lines are also included, as the new core used has different thread adaptation.
The factory Borg Warner turbocharger on these vehicles works extremely well in a mildy tuned application, and is known for it's response and overall flow potential. However, once higher boost levels are required, it starts to run out of efficiency. This is where the custom GCG5452R comes into play. The Ball Bearing CHRA provides more power throughout the rev range, and utilizes a billet 6+6 blade compressor wheel, which is a larger diameter than the factory turbocharger. The Turbine is a mid trim GT30 Series variant.
