This custom built Garrett GT2871R comes designed to bolt into the stock turbocharger location on the Ford Focus ST 2013-2014 2.0L EcoBoost models. The turbocharger is supplied internally wastegated, however it does come with a provision for an external wastegate if further development or higher boost pressures are required. This comes capped off when supplied, and can be simply removed for an external wastegate. Also included is a V-Band flaned turbo adaptor, which will suit any aftermarket bolt-on style dump pipes. An inlet hose adaptor comes with the kit, which allows the use of the factory, or aftermarket intake pipes. The turbocharger also allows for the factory, or aftermarket intercooler pipe to be directly reconnected. The turbo oil drain suits the factory setup.
There are two turbine housing options, being 0.64a/r and 0.86a/r. The 0.64a/r is more commonly used on close to factory engines, with bolt on modifications, looking for fast response with a little less top end power. If you are running an internally modified engine, more specifically aftermarket camshafts or cylinder head porting, or you wish to have the power higher up in the rev range, the 0.86a/r will be more suitable.
