Turbocharger Exchange Program (TEX)

The TEX range is exclusive to GCG Turbochargers, and offers a saving of up to 60% compared to the equivalent new unit. This allows a viable cost effective replacement for 1. the older turbocharged vehicles, 2. the expensive OE replacement turbochargers, 3. the extinct discontinued turbochargers from the manufacturer. 

GCG TEX program follows our Refresh, Repair then Replace business model for environmently friendly sustainability stance we have taken to ensure minimal waste and maximum use of the original resource. And where we have to replace we recycle to allow the raw materials to live another day.

TEX turbochargers are remanufactured directly from the original manufacturers turbocharger, using a combination of original used, new genuine and aftermarket OE quality parts, meaning 100% fitment and correct calibration of key components such as pressure and variable vane actuators. All units are VSR balanced, oil pressure flow tested, and flow bench calibrated for correct pressure flow requirements either boost or variable vane setting. This is all documented and traceable and follows OEM manufacturing protocols. 

The GCG TEX range covers popular Australian, Asian, European and American models either as found on the vehicle or engine shared across manufacturers, and offers solutions for pressure actuated turbochargers, variable vane (VNT/VGT) turbochargers and electronic actuated turbochargers (where applicable). The TEX range will continue to grow as the aging turbocharger car park grows or certain models become out of financial reach at the dealership.

Warranty:

All TEX Turbochargers are covered by 12 month unlimited kilometre warranty covering all new replacement turbocharger parts and turbocharger inhouse assembly processes, the same you received with a new turbocharger from GCG. All electrical components fitted to the turbocharger are covered by a 3 month warranty, as per the industry standards. Whats in the box?

• A TEX Turbocharger remanufactured and tested to OEM Specification, matching the exact part number and fit as to the one on your engine
• A TEX Turbocharger Gasket Kit (where available, a small number of unique applications will require OE gaskets to be purchased)
• A TEX Installation Guide
• A JLM Turbo Lube tube for pre-installation lubrication

TEX Program Policy:

A $350.00 (Passenger Car/Light Commercial) or $550.00 (Heavy Diesel/Marine) core deposit will be applied to all exchange turbochargers that are listed, which is 100% refundable upon the return of the old turbocharger, and as long as the following conditions are adhered to:

• You are responsible to ensure the TEX turbocharger supplied is the correct part number and model for the engine you are fitting it to.
• The old turbocharger must be returned to GCG within 30 days from the original invoice date, freight must be pre-paid or it will be deducted from the core refund.
• The core return form must be complete online so we have traceability and visibility as to the returned product. Please use the original box to return ship, and mark clearly CORE RETURN and include a copy of your paperwork.
• The turbocharger must be returned complete as removed from the engine, including any wastegate or VNT control units. You must remove all pipes, hoses, flanges and specific studs or clamps as these are NOT supplied with the TEX Turbocharger. • The returned turbocharger must be of the same manufacturer, part number and model as the GCG TEX unit supplied and must be of original manufacturer's brand, aftermarket units will be rejected.
• The returned turbocharger must not have sustained damage in a motor vehicle accident, motor vehicle fire or been submerged underwater, or in a flood.
• Final adjudication of a valid return lies solely with the technical team at GCG.
• Core refunds will be returned only to the bank account, paypal account, trade account, Capricorn account or credit card that was used in the initial purchase, within 10 days of receipt and validation.

IMPORTANT:-

• Your technical mechanic should clearly understand the reason the original turbocharger sustained damage, and to rectify the root cause of the problem, as to simply replace the turbocharger without proper or full diagnostics will only be a band-aid solution and will result in further damage when the band-aid comes off.
